Q &A
1. What was the 1st figure you ever painted?
First figure ever painted was an Imrie/Risley mounted French Napoleonic Hussar.
2. What's your favorite painting medium and why?
Favorite painting mediums are to undercoat with acrylics (Apple Barrel) and overpaint with
artist oils.
3. Do you have a favorite figure manufacturer?
With today's explosion of manufacturers I have become more eclectic , selecting many
different manufacturers. Dolman Miniatures, Mitches Military Models, FER, are some that
stand out.
4. What are your favorite topics and or historical periods to paint?
I generally stay within the 1700's to the 1900's because I like the color in the uniforms.
Unless there is a mouth watering modern day figure you just couldn't resist of course.

5. Do you have a favorite artist and why?
Favorite artists would be Keith Rocco & Robert Griffing.

6. Do you have any advice for beginners?
For beginning artists I would say when you think your figure is complete, walk away for a day or two, re-visit the figure with & critical eye & see if you made any mistakes that need
touch ups.
